June 2016: Jolene Underwood will be attending Boston University’s School of Medicine for a Master’s program in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine! Concluding this two-year program, she plans to obtain licensure to become a practicing mental health counselor. Congratulations!

We are very excited to congratulate Dr. Bunmi Olatunji who has been promoted to Associate Professor at Vanderbilt University!

Dr. Olatunji has been awarded the David Shakow Early Career Award for Distinguished Contributions to Clinical Psychology from Division 12 of APA; recognizing his noteworthy contributions to both the science and practice of clinincal psychology.

Tom Armstrong has been selected as one of three winners of the 2009 ABCT Elsie Ramos Memorial Student Research Award for his poster entitled “Selective Attention in Contamination-Based OCD: Eye Tracking of Affective Content and Time Course.”

Dr. Olatunji is recognized by the Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research for number of publications.

Extramural Funding: Dr. Olatunji recently was awarded an RO3 grant from the National Institute of Mental Health. This grant will examine the role of specific emotions on attentional biases in obsessive compulsive disorder

Dr. Olatunji’s research was featured in the August 2007 edition of Men’s Health!
