Sarah Jessup, B.S.
Sarah is from Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2017, with a major in psychology and a minor in neuroscience.
At UNC-Chapel Hill, Sarah worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Jon Abramowitz’s Anxiety and Stress Disorders lab. As an RA, Sarah’s work focused on a study about managing intrusive thoughts for individuals with OCD. Sarah also worked on a randomized controlled trial intervention study, delivering exposure-based cognitive-behavioral therapy to individuals with arachnophobia. Her honors thesis focused on anxiety sensitivity and posttraumatic stress symptoms in sexual assault survivors.
Following her work as the lab coordinator for EARL, Sarah plans to apply for graduate school and pursue a degree in clinical psychology.
